Hyderabad: Jeh Aerospace has inked a long-term agreement with French aerospace and transportation major Liebherr-Aerospace to manufacture and supply high-precision landing gear components for high-rate commercial single-aisle aircraft.
As part of the agreement, Jeh Aerospace will produce these components at its Hyderabad facility, which will now become a part of Liebherr-Aerospace's global industrial network. The deal expands Hyderabad-based Jeh Aerospace's role in the global aerospace supply chain.
Landing gear components are among the most demanding and critical products in aerospace manufacturing as they have to meet tight dimensional tolerances, pass rigorous qualification standards and be delivered without any disruptions.
Jeh Aerospace founder and CEO Vishal R Sanghavi said: "Landing gear is among the most safety-critical systems on any aircraft. Being trusted to manufacture for a programme of this calibre, by one of aerospace's most respected Tier 1 manufacturers, is a milestone our team has earned through precision and process discipline."
Jeh Aerospace said it has already supplied more than 2 lakh flight-critical aerospace components with zero quality escapes to its partners globally.
Martin Wandel, chief operating officer and MD of Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, said the company collaborates with partners that are capable of fulfilling stringent requirements for precision, quality and delivery performance and opted for Jeh Aerospace on account of its strong manufacturing capabilities.
The Atlanta-headquartered Jeh Aerospace supplies flight-critical components to global Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers from its manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad that are equipped with software-defined production systems.
Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, based in Toulouse, France, is a first-tier supplier of aerospace and transportation systems. Its parent, the Liebherr Group, employs more than 55,000 people worldwide.
